AIS Summer Camp 2025 – Fun, Learning & Adventure in the Algarve!

After the incredible success of last year’s AIS Summer Camp, we’re excited to announce that Aspire International School’s Summer Camp 2025 is officially open for bookings!

From 30th June to 22nd August, children aged 4 to 12 years are invited to join us for weeks filled with fun, creativity, and unforgettable memories — all set in the safe, welcoming environment of our beautiful school campus in the heart of the Algarve. Activities include outdoor play, science activities, arts and crafts, music, picnics, and a lot of fun around the pool!

Our Summer School isn’t just childcare — it’s a vibrant program packed with engaging activities designed to entertain, educate, and inspire!

This Friday, Aspire International School will come together to celebrate a year of growth, learning, and unforgettable moments with our Whole School Awards and Graduation Ceremony.

This event is more than just a celebration — it’s a time for us to gather as a school family and honour each and every child for their unique achievements throughout the year. With heartfelt performances, a stunning student art exhibition, and meaningful awards presentations, this promises to be a truly special day.

A Celebration of Talent, Effort, and Growth

Our children and teachers have been working hard to prepare some wonderful entertainment and surprises, and we can’t wait to share it with you. Whether it’s academic success, creative flair, teamwork, kindness, or perseverance — every child will be recognised for the qualities that make them shine.

A Wonderful Community Day at Aspire: The Two Rachaels Family Market

Sunday, 15 June – Aspire International School, Almancil

Aspire International School proudly opened its doors to host a heartwarming and lively community event this weekend – The Two Rachaels Preloved Family Market – and what a success it was!

From the moment the gates opened at 11am, the campus buzzed with excitement and laughter. Families from across the Algarve gathered to enjoy a day filled with music, movement, and meaningful connections.

Highlights from the Day:

Live performances by local artist Evan Morgan brought a relaxed, feel-good vibe to the grounds, with sets at 11:30 and 12:30.

A Family Yoga session led by Sónia Da Cunha Castro of Yoga Kids Algarve offered a moment of peace, mindfulness, and bonding.

‍

The crowd joined in an energetic mini workout circuit by Coach Chris Fielding of Fielding Fitness, proving that fitness can be fun for all ages.

‍

Over 30 stalls featuring second-hand treasures, handmade crafts, sustainable brands, and local businesses gave attendees a chance to shop responsibly and support the community.

‍

A book swap, donation station, and a variety of food and drink options added to the friendly and inclusive atmosphere.

To mark this important day, students, families, and staff will join other local schools in a friendly community walk through Almancil — a symbolic step forward in honouring children’s rights, wellbeing, and voices.

Aspire Students Join Forces for Coastal Clean-Up in Vale do Lobo

On Tuesday, 20th May, 136 Aspire International School students rolled up their sleeves and joined a large-scale beach clean-up at Vale do Lobo organised by Infralobo, an initiative that brought together more than 350 people in celebration of the European Maritime Day and Loulé’s Environment Week.

Organised by Infralobo and Vale do Lobo Resort, the clean-up covered both Garrão Poente and Garrão Nascente beaches. In just a few hours, over 260 kilos of waste were removed from the coastline — a powerful example of environmental action driven by community collaboration.

Aspire was proud to be a key participant in this event, with students ranging from Preschool to Secondary, supported by a dedicated team of teachers and staff. Our youngest learners worked side by side with older pupils, fostering not only environmental awareness but also an inspiring spirit of teamwork and citizenship.

Penned in a joint collaboration between Bethany our Drama teacher and Emma, the Music teacher. Detective Noir and her sidekick investigate murder most foul at a local theatre.

Join us for an unforgettable evening of drama, suspense, and mystery as our talented performing arts students, under the guidance of Miss Bethany & Emma Batten, bring this gripping production to life.

Thank You for Making the Spring Fair 2025 Unforgettable

What an amazing day we had at the Aspire International School Spring Fair 2025! A huge thank you to everyone who attended, performed, volunteered, donated, sang, danced, judged, cooked, splatted, and most importantly — helped us celebrate community, culture, and Spring! 🌼🌞

The sun was shining, the campus was buzzing, and the energy was nothing short of incredible. From colourful hats to joyful performances, the day truly showcased the spirit of Aspire.

🎶 Incredible Live Performances

A heartfelt thank you to our three guest artists who made the day even more special:

• 🎧 DJ Varela from Mudaki, who closed the fair with a high-energy set that had everyone dancing.

• 🎤 Isa Brito, whose emotional Fado performance moved us all.

• 🎸 Accompanied beautifully by Portuguese Guitarist Ricardo Martins and Viola de Fado by Ricardo Silva.

We were also blown away by the talented Isabella Robinson, who brought a fresh dose of pop favourites – and even performed one of her own original songs. What a star in the making! ⭐

👒 Hats Off to Our Brilliant Hat Designers!

The Spring Hat Competitions were full of creativity and flair! Huge congratulations to everyone who took part — the effort was evident, and the results were fabulous. A special shoutout to the teachers who made the Teacher Hat Parade absolutely hilarious and so fun to watch! 😂

Thanks also to our panel of patient and cheerful judges for taking time out to support the event (and for waiting in the sunshine 🌞)!

🎨 Splat-tacular Fun, Tasty Treats & Smiles All Round

The paint splat station was a hit with our younger students — well done to our brave volunteers who got “splatted” for a good cause!

We were treated to an array of delicious international food, refreshing non-alcoholic caipirinhas, and lovely homemade treats. A big thank you to everyone who ran or contributed to the stalls!

🌳 Giving Back, Together

Not only was the Spring Fair filled with joy and laughter, but it also helped raise funds to support:

• Our students and school community

• Local charitable causes, including our ongoing support for tree-planting initiatives in Almancil

It was particularly special to welcome visitors from the Associação Social Cultural de Almancil (ASCA). Seeing their smiles and hearing their laughter reminded us how much these events mean beyond the school gates. 🥰

Spring Fair Rescheduled – New Date: March 28th!

Friday’s Spring Fair has been postponed

Dear Aspire Families & Friends,

We regret to announce that this Friday’s Spring Fair has been postponed due to the wet and muddy conditions. Even if the sun shines over the next few days, the ground simply won’t dry out enough for us to enjoy the event properly.

But don’t worry, we have good news!

New Date: Friday, March 28th, 2025

Better weather ahead! The forecast is looking bright, and we’re confident that rescheduling will allow everyone to enjoy a fun-filled, dry, and exciting Spring Fair.

Spring Fair 2025 – A Celebration of Nature & Community

The Aspire Spring Fair is more than just a school event—it’s a celebration of nature, togetherness, and giving back to the community. This year, we are fundraising to plant and maintain trees in Almancil, in partnership with the Almancil Parish. They will help decide where, when, and which trees will be planted, ensuring this initiative has a lasting environmental impact.

Alongside this, we continue to support Mudaki, reinforcing our school’s commitment to local causes.
